Create the neck of the paper plate flamingo

Set aside the other half.
Cut along the dashed line as illustrated above.
Once cut, it should look like the sample image above.
Position the cutouts like the image above and then cut horizontally the bottom part.
Once cut, the half-moon cutout should look like the sample image above. Now cut again on the top part.
Set aside the middle part and position the cutout like the sample image above.
Rotate the bottom triangle 90 degrees clockwise.
Glue them together. See next step for guide.
Cut off the excess strip and the head of the flamingo is done!
Color the neck of the paper plate flamingo
Color the tip of the bottom triangle with black. Use black marker or paint. See next step for guide.
Do not fully shade the beak with black.
Color the neck and head pink by mixing red and white. See next step for guide.
The neck and head of the paper plate flamingo should look like this.
It is not necessary to paint the bottom half of the neck because it will be glued to the body.
Paint the body of the flamingo
The body of the flamingo will be the other half of the paper plate. Color that half paper plate with the same color as the neck part.
Once finished, set it aside to dry.
Assemble the head and body
Paste the neck and head area at the back of the paper plate body.
Once assembled and glued together, it should look like this!
Attach an eye on the paper plate bird
Grab a googly eye and stick it at the top part of the head.
The flamingo should now look like this!
If you don’t have a googly eye, you may use a marker to draw an eye instead.
For the flamingo’s leg
Get a pipe cleaner and bend it in half.
Bend the left side again in half.
Mold the pipe cleaner like the sample image above. It should look like a number 4.
Flip it over and then stick the pipe cleaner at the back using some tape.
Make a wing cutout for the paper plate flamingo.
Draw a heart shape on a piece of pink paper. The easiest way to draw a wing is to make a heart shape.
Cut out the heart shape.
Once cut, grab the flamingo and some glue.
Stick the heart into the center like a wing.
The paper plate flamingo is now finished!
Lovely, isn’t it?
The heart gives such nice touch!
This would also make a wonderful valentine activity for the kids!
