Easy Origami House Folding instructions

Introduction:

This easy origami is a great activity for kids and beginners. It is very quick to make and you only need a piece of paper to create this. Once finished, you may decorate it however you like with any drawing materials you have lying around.

How to fold an Origami House - Step 01

Start with a square piece of origami paper. If you’re using single-sided colored paper, face the colored side downwards. Fold the left side to the right side. After that, crease well and unfold.

 

How to fold an Origami House - Step 02

The second step is to bring the right side and the left side to the middle crease line. The middle crease line is the fold made in step 1. Crease the paper well and unfold.

Bring the bottom side to the top side of the origami paper. Crease the paper well and unfold.

Make two more crease lines by folding the top and bottom sides to the horizontal crease line. Crease the paper well and unfold.

Once you have made a grid using a crease mark. Diagonally fold the paper along the dashed lines.

Bring the bottom side to the top side of the origami paper. Crease the paper well and unfold.

Fold point A down to point X. Do the same on the right side by folding point B down to point Y.

Squash  the origami paper to the center yellow dot.

Bring the bottom part upward as illustrated above.

Lastly, decorate your origami house with windows and doors.  You may trace along the dotted lines as shown or you may draw whatever you want on the paper.
