Try making a box from a dollar bill! What’s great a bot this box is that you can store small trinkets such as candies, paper clips and jewelries. You may even use it as a packaging for a gift if you’re planning to give some small to a special someone.
Difficulty Level: Easy – Intermediate
Fold the dollar bill in half horizontally and vertically. Crease it well and then unfold.
Bring the top and bottom edge to the horizontal crease.
Diagonally fold the right part upwards.
Crease the dollar bill well and then unfold.
Repeat the diagonal fold on the left side.
Unfold it after creaseing it well.
Bring the right side to the left side. Fold it along the right ends of the “X” crease mark.
Crease it well and then unfold.
Repeat step 5 on the left side. Fold it along the right ends of the “X” crease mark.
Crease the fold well and then unfold the dollar bill.
Pry open the top and bottom flap on the right side.
Bring it the rightpart to the left side as you pry the flaps open.
Once you have brought the right part to the left side, flatten it. It should now look like this.
Fold the top and bottom edge of the right part inwards along the dashed line.
Bring the top flap to the right side along the dashed line.
Repeat step 7 on the left part. Pry opem the flaps of the left side.
As you pry it open, swing the left part to the right. Then flatten it.
Fold the top and bottom edge inwards to the middle.
Swing the top flap to the left side along the dashed line.
Carefully pull apart each of the flaps on the opposite direction.
You origami box is done. If you don’t want to use a dollar bill then you may use any piece of rectangular paper.
